We were
the
beginners
too.
BecomeAnInfluencer wasn't built by social media consultants. It was built by creators who had to figure everything out the hard way — and decided that nobody else should have to.
In 2020, our founder Stuart Scriven ended his pursuit in digital marketing to try something most people thought was naive: build an audience from scratch and make a living from content alone.
The first six months were humbling. The content was good — genuinely good — but the growth was painfully slow. There were a hundred decisions to make every week with almost no reliable guidance: which platform, which format, which hooks, which Monetization strategy, when to hire, how to negotiate, how to price products. Every answer required either expensive consultants or months of trial and error.
By month 18, after painful iteration and a lot of money wasted on courses that didn't deliver, the pieces finally clicked together. The audience grew. Then the income followed. Then the freedom that had been the original goal all along.
BecomeAnInfluencer launched in early 2022 with a single product: a concise, no-fluff guide to building a creator presence that actually earns. Within three months, it had 1,000 students. Within a year, it had 12,000 — all without a single paid advertisement.
Today, with a team of people spread across three continents, BecomeAnInfluencer has helped 47,000+ people in 68 countries build content careers. Our students have collectively earned over $12 million in creator income. Some are full-time. Some are supplementing their salaries. Many have simply found a creative outlet that also pays.
The mission has never changed: give every creator — regardless of background, follower count, or budget — access to the exact strategies, systems, and frameworks that make the difference between a content hobby and a content career.
